FAQ
Electric Forklifts Questions
Can an electric forklift work outdoors?
Yes, with the right tires. Pneumatic-tire models such as the TE50P are built for yards, docks and rough concrete. Cushion-tire models are best on smooth indoor floors. Tell us your surface and weather exposure.
Lithium-ion or lead-acid?
Lithium-ion supports opportunity charging, needs no watering and holds steady power through the shift. Lead-acid has a lower purchase price and suits single shifts with a full overnight charge. The TE50L runs on lead-acid; the TE50P, TE50 and K2 run on lithium-ion.
How long does charging take?
It depends on battery size and charger output. Lithium-ion batteries can be charged on breaks without a fixed charge cycle; lead-acid batteries need a full charge and a cool-down. We size the charger to your shift pattern on the quote.
What is an OSHA Class I truck?
Class I covers electric motor rider trucks, such as sit-down counterbalanced forklifts on cushion or pneumatic tires. Every forklift in this family is Class I.
How much can your electric forklifts lift?
Standard-capacity models handle up to 7,000 lb. The high-capacity line runs from 13,500 lb to 36,000 lb on 96V and high-voltage lithium-ion power.
